ALEX Art Draw Like A Pro is a fun and easy way to draw! Just turn down the lights, switch on the projector, insert a preprinted slide and trace away. Mix and match heads and bodies to create characters, tilt the light forwards and backwards to change the size of the projected image to make wacky proportions, draw a scene by tracing different elements from the scene slides or move your paper left and right to combine a volcano, dinos and plants to make a prehistoric scene. There is even a wheel of slides so that you can make your own flip book with precut pages and a flip book clip. Store all your slides and supplies in the built in drawer inside the machine. It also folds up for travel and easy storage for the artist on the go! Requires 3 AA batteries (not included). Includes 124 slides, 6 markers, 10 sheets of paper, and a flip book.

What buyers wrote about this set
I just purchased this for my 5 year old son. The age states 6 and older but he is doing just fine. He needs a little help placing the slides into the projector but other than that he has made 5 pictures. He created a whole underwater scene and is so proud of it. We have it displayed on our refrigerator. This product develops eye hand coordination and builds self esteem .What a pleasure to get him away from the computer. Next is a picture for grandma.I do think it could have been constructed a little stronger. We will have to be careful that it should not break.
My 7 year old and 4 year old can both use this easily; my 7 year old just needed initial instruction and set up before being able to use it completely on her own. Pros: compact, easy to set up, focus and insert various pictures, entertaining, creative, minimal adult intervention and cleanup Cons: limited to tracing their supplied images which were quite simple/cartoon-like (viewmaster slides worked a little, but not well) If you have a serious/older artist, you might go for the more expensive art projectors that will project anything onto a large paper/canvas, but this is a fun toy for the 4-8 year old who loves to draw.
I wasn't sure how well this would go over with my two five-year old boys, but it is a huge hit! They both have been spending hours creating designs and then coloring them in. In fact, they actually wanted to write thank you notes for other Christmas gifts this year, because they wanted to create their own note cards using this kit! I have noticed that it also gives them the confidence to try and draw their own designs, because they've been learning how to draw different animals and shapes by tracing these slides. Big hit at my house. I highly recommend it!
I bought it more than one year ago and plan to give it as bonus for their work. I finally have chance to give it to my 7 years old. It turned out both my 7 years old and 5 years like it. It keeps them focused for more than half an hour. Both of them are not good at art, so I am not worried that this will destroy their creativity. I am very happy with this art set. It is a nice surprise.
