This is a great thing to get for your kids, it will keep them busy for hours and hours they’ll be so quiet you’ll forget they exist. It will also serve their mental health with creativity and help them learn to do things on their own, helping them learn to use empty time for productive things. I watched the kids how they colored these plastic looking things and put it into the oven. It was amazing to see how that thing melted so perfectly into a miniature that you can hang onto a keychain (it’s really cute). This is really made of some good quality material not just some junk. Buy it and you won’t regret it, and your kids will thank you.
I bought this for my twin girls when they were almost 5. It is still one of their favorite craft projects even as kindergartners at almost 6. It is always the first gift they think to give their friends. It has become our go-to-gift for birthday parties. There is a nice variety of projects with a lot of pieces to color. It makes for a nice gift as it doesn't get used up in one use and is reasonably priced. Each time we give it, the girls love it as a gift and the moms get to reminisce about the days when we did Shrinky Dinks as kids. Who doesn't love to watch them bake!
Shrinky dinks can bring lots of fun, but you must follow directions exactly or they crack and break. This kit is great for any arts and crafts lover. There are plenty of items that come in the kit to make jewelry but I would recommend using a more durable type of string. I purchased this kit for my 4 y/o daughter — I'd recommend maybe ages 5 or 6+. The price point is decent for the amount of items that come in the box.
